Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics launched

As of 1 September 2017, the Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics (IPA) was formed from the merger of groups from the former institutes for Particle Physics (IPP) and for Astronomy (IfA).

IPA

The founding of IPA offers a great opportunity for our department. Combining astronomy, astrophysics and particle physics constitutes a visionary restructuring measure, aligned with the "Fundamental Physics Initiative" of the department. The new structure of the institute also facilitates the use of synergies between the two sectors. For more information, please visit the website of the new institute.
