Infrastructure
The department maintains a number of first class services: mechanical workshop, materials and devices repository, a physics library, and a large collection of classroom demonstration experiments. D-PHYS operates its own helium liquefaction division and assists its staff in engineering, visual communication, photography, graphical tasks and every-day campus life. The IT infrastructure is organized and maintained by the IT Services Group. The FIRST Laboratory and the EMEZ provide access to a broad variety of nanostructure facilities and to high resolution electron microscopy.
