Elective courses
In addition to the core courses, Master's students can choose from a broad range of complementary, elective courses. In total you have to aquire 20 ECTS in the category elective courses and at least 10 ECTS from the subcategory in Physics and Mathematics as listed in the course catalogue.
The Department of Physics offers a number of elective courses.
You can find these within the subsection "Electives in Physics and Mathematics" and the subsection "General Electives" in the course catalogue, both for Autumn Semester and Spring Semester.
With General Electives, you may extend your knowledge in areas of Physics, Mathematics or further scientific disciplines.
You may choose from the entire ETH course offer. Exempt are courses taught within the first two years of the Bachelor programmes and the GESS Science in Perspective courses.
Important: When planning your schedule for the next semester, please check carefully whether courses are offered regularly.
