Communication

The Communication team offers specialist services and support for science communication initiatives across different channels and platforms.

We manage the internal and external communication activities of the department and strive to engage a variety of audiences, from researchers and students to the general public. We also provide guidance on subjects such as media inquiries and scientific writing. To further broaden the services we offer, we aim to build and maintain a network of external collaborators with specific competences. We look forward to discussing your ideas and projects.

Publication of news articles and announcements on the D-PHYS website
Management of departmental social media accounts
Link between ETH's Corporate Communications office and individual research institutes and groups
Preparation of press releases in collaboration with Corporate Communications

Photography
Design and graphics for posters, flyers and brochures
Support with scientific illustrations and infographics
Management of a network of freelance collaborators for 3D graphics and videos

Support for scientific writing, e.g. dissemination of best practices and tips
Advice on contacts with the media, e.g. on handling media requests and working with press officers
Elaboration of communication concepts and strategies
Support for specific communication projects
