17 new apprentices at the Department of Physics
In mid-August, 65 apprentices and trainees started their education at ETH Zurich. 17 youngsters will be trained as electronics technicians, IT technicians, designers, physics lab technicians or polymechanics at the Department of Physics.

On Wednesday 24 August, for the first time all new apprentices were present at the department. Current apprentices and the vocational trainers warmly welcomed the new apprentices with a Welcome BBQ. The IT apprentices and the instructors in the new IT teaching lab were invited as guests to this event. Also, the BBQ provided an opportunity to welcome the new head of vocational training, Fabienne Jaquet.
